Weekly on Wednesdays from 3-4pm
 
Winter session begins Feb 10th and runs through March 17th
 
An exploration in art for students currently in grades 1-4. Students will explore famous artists and concepts in several mediums. Professionally taught lessons will be cumulative and often more advanced and in depth than what a child will receive in school & heavily focus on elements & theories of art. Sessions are limited to 12 students so that social distance can be maintained and each child will receive one on one attention to harness and grow their skills in art. This class is also open and encouraged to homeschool families looking to add fine arts into their curriculum. Cost: $155 per student
 
 
Weeks 1 & 2: Birch Tree Mixed Media
Students will create a mixed media piece depicting birch trees in the winter. In week 2 we’ll add on a feathered friend to make this piece pop!
 
Weeks 3-5: Polar Bear Paper Mache!
Students will create a 3-dimensional animal through the use of sculpting with recycled components and covering with Paper Mache. We will paint and embellish these pieces to create realistic versions of their polar bear subjects.
 
Weeks 6 & 7: Animal Biomes
Students will create a Biome Jar Illustration. In this project, we’ll think about what makes a good composition, while studying symmetry, and focusing on the biohabitat of our favorite animals. 
 
**This class is taught montessori style and accommodates a range of ages - allowing each individual artist to work to their fullest potential.
 
Participants will receive an email with more information regarding drop off & pick up information, and DocuSign waivers prior to the start of class.
 
No "Drop in" rate at this time; pricing is for the full multi-week session only.
 
This class includes all materials, professional instruction. No art experience necessary.

We regret that we cannot grant refunds for event registrations. If we must cancel an event due to low enrollment, your will be given the option to move your registration to another class or recive a full refund.

We reserve the right to cancel events and classes due to low enrollment, staff sickness, or extreme weather. Registrants will be notified via email 24 hours prior to class if an event is cancelled for low registration, and every attempt will be made to contact participants as soon as possible in the event of emergency cancellation.
I/We give permission for photos/videos to be taken of all children being registered for this activity.

I/We understand that photos/video may be published online, in printed materials and/or for other promotional purposes, but only to help document student work and illustrate McHarper Manor. I/We hereby waive any ownership rights, as well as any right that I/we may have to inspect or approve the finished product in which a photographic or video image may be used including the advertising copy or other matter that may be used in connection therewith or the use to which it may be applied.
I hereby certify that I am the adult parent or guardian of (REGISTERED CHILD) a minor child under the age of eighteen years, and I consent to his/her participation in recreational activities at McHarper Manor (the “Studio”) located at 990 State Route 28, Milford Ohio 45150 and operated and maintained by McHarper Enterprises, LLC, acting by and through McHarper Manor (the “Studio”).

I understand and acknowledge that I am fully aware of and assume the risks (including but not limited to the risk of serious bodily injury, property loss or damage) of said minor child’s participation in recreational activities at the Studio. I recognize my responsibility to ensure that said minor child participates only in those activities for which he/she has the required skills, qualifications, & training. I understand that the Studio shall have no responsibility to pay for medical treatment and related costs if said minor child is injured.

Knowing the risks described above, I agree, personally and on behalf of the minor child named above, to assume all the risks and responsibilities surrounding my minor child’s use of the Studio. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I hold harmless and agree to indemnify the Studio, its officers, directors, faculty, staff, volunteers, employees and agents, from and against any present or future claim, cause of action, loss or liability for injury to person or property, which said minor child may suffer or for which said minor child may be liable to any other person, related to said minor child’s participation in recreational activities at the Studio, resulting from any cause whatsoever, and regardless of fault. I am at least eighteen years of age and have carefully read and freely signed this Liability Waiver and Release Form (Minor Child). I understand and agree that no oral or written representations can or will alter the contents of this document. I agree that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
We have made all reasonable efforts to reduce clients exposure to Covid-19 through thorough and frequent cleaning of our facility, physical distancing, and monitoring of staff and patrons. By participating in an event in our studio, you aknowledge that there is an inherent risk of exposure to coronavirus in public places and assume any risk assosicated with contracting said disease or others.

Students will be required to wear masks in the class space unless physical distance with use of partitions is feasible. Please be prepared with a mask for all classes. Instructors and staff will wear masks at all times unless physical distance can be maintained while instructing - in this case instructors will wear clear face shields so that their instruction can be understood by students.

Instructors / staff will check temperature each morning. If the instructor for your class's temperature is found to be over 100 degrees you will be notified and class will be rescheduled.

Students will have forehead temperature checks upon arrival. An instructor will meet you at the door to perform the check. If any individual has a fever of 100 degrees or higher, they may not enter the facility. Upon entering, students will be required to wash their hands. *Child- aged-students' hands will also be washed after using the restroom and before leaving for the day. For children's classes - parents will text when they have arrived for pick up and an instructor will escort the child out to the parent / caregiver to reduce the # of people in the studio.

If students are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 they should not come to class. We will happily offer you credit to return when they are symptom free. Should an issue arise with a child in class, we will isolate any individual who develops symptoms and require that they be picked up immediately.

You will be required to sign a COVID waiver prior to class which will include our COVID-19 policies and requirements for this season.
