IN-Studio class. Please click HERE to see our COVID policies and practices Fridays from 2:30 pm - 3:30pm Fall session dates: 10/9, 10/23, 11/6, and 11/20 Week 1: Watercolor Folk Art Trees - We’ll start with organic watercolor shapes and end with trees! While we focus on line, we’ll learn what makes art look more whimsical (like Folk Art) and what makes art look realistic. Week 2: Faux Field Guides - Students will need to bring in some pieces from nature! We'll do our best to identify and observe these findings, then we'll draw them and write about them like we would see in a field guide. Weeks 3 and 4: Claes Oldenburg Inspired Pies - Students will work to create a pie based on Oldenburg’s larger than life examples! We’ll look at his HUGE pie sculptures to learn about texture and try to mimic these in our own (smaller) works. Week 3 - sculpting, week 4 - painting. (We HOPE to have an "Art show" at the end of the session. We will continue to monitor the situation as we progress to see if that's possible) Our new studio space is over twice the size, and physical distancing will be a breeze with our new wider 9' long tables! Clear protective barriers will be provided, and masks required. All COVID policies can be seen by clicking the link above. Participants will receive an email with more information regarding drop off & pick up information, and DocuSign waivers prior to the start of class. No "Drop in" rate at this time; pricing is for the full multi-week session only. This class includes all materials, professional instruction. No art experience necessary. **Minimum 6 registered seats must be booked to hold this session
