IN-Studio class. Please click HERE to see our COVID policies and practices Wednesdays from 10:30 am - 11:20am Fall session dates: 10/14, 10/28, 11/4, & 11/18 Week 1: Faux Field Guides! Students will need to bring in some pieces from nature! We'll do our best to identify and observe these findings, then we'll draw them and write about them like we would see in a field guide. Week 2: Watercolor Webs! Students will explore the concept of creating a "resist" while they draw a spider web! The magic happens when they watercolor over this waxy illustration, and the web comes to life! We'll paint a spider friend in the middle and call it complete! Week 3: Self Portraits - learning to draw BIG! We'll work on proportion and drawing BIG in this lesson. We will draw ourselves on LARGE paper and try to use the entire space to learn composition, space, and proportion. Week 4: Print Making! We'll use upcycled materials and foam to create some awesome stamping plates that can be used over and over again. This lesson focuses on learning the difference between positive and negative space, repetition, and pattern. (We HOPE to have an "Art show" at the end of the session. We will continue to monitor the situation as we progress to see if that's possible) Our new studio space is over twice the size, and physical distancing will be a breeze with our new wider 9' long tables! Clear protective barriers will be provided, and masks required. All COVID policies can be seen by clicking the link above. Participants will receive an email with more information regarding drop off & pick up information, and DocuSign waivers prior to the start of class. No "Drop in" rate at this time; pricing is for the full multi-week session only. This class includes all materials, professional instruction.
