McHarper Manor & The Curious Kiln
Effective for 2026 Camps, Classes, Workshops & Events

By registering for any camp, class, workshop, or event hosted by McHarper Manor and/or The Curious Kiln (“the Studio”), you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the following Terms of Service.

These Terms apply to all participants, including minors registered by a parent or legal guardian.

Camp Cancellation, Refund & Credit Policy

Because camp spots are limited and materials, staffing, and preparation are arranged in advance, all registrations are subject to the following cancellation and credit policies.

​

Early Bird registrations include additional flexibility as a benefit for early commitment.

• Through May 1, 2026, Early Bird camp registrations may:

  • Be exchanged for another available camp of equal length and value, regardless of any price increase, or

  • Be converted to studio credit for the full amount paid.

• Studio credit issued under Early Bird perks is valid through December 1, 2026.

After May 1, 2026, all registrations — including Early Bird — follow the Standard Summer Camp Cancellation & Credit Policy below.

Standard Summer Camp Cancellation & Credit Policy

From date of purchase through May 1, 2026:
Camp registrations may be exchanged for another available camp of equal or lesser value (subject to availability) or converted to studio credit valid through December 1, 2026.

From May 1 until fifteen (15) days before the scheduled camp start date:

• If a cancellation or change is requested, the Studio will attempt to fill the spot with a waitlisted camper.

• If a replacement camper is found, the registrant may:

  • Transfer enrollment to another available camp, or

  • Receive studio credit for the amount paid, minus a $25 administrative fee per camp.

• If a replacement camper is not found, no credit or exchange will be issued.

Less than fifteen (15) days before the camp start date:

• No refunds, credits, or exchanges will be issued.

• A registrant may send a replacement camper (friend or family member who meets age and readiness requirements) provided advance notice is given and updated emergency contact information is supplied.

Missed Camp Days

• Missed camp days are non-refundable.

• If a camper misses a single day of a multi-day camp, the Studio will make reasonable efforts to help the camper experience elements of what was missed upon return.

• If a camper misses the final day of camp, completed projects will be held for thirty (30) days for pickup.

Camps Cancelled by the Studio

The Studio reserves the right to cancel camps or events due to low enrollment, staff illness, extreme weather, or circumstances beyond its control.

If the Studio cancels a camp, registrants will be offered one of the following:

• Transfer to another available camp or event

• Studio credit

• A full refund

Participation & Liability Waiver (Ohio)

By registering for any camp, class, workshop, or event, you acknowledge and agree to the following on behalf of yourself and/or your minor child.

​

Assumption of Risk

You understand that participation in Studio activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of art tools and materials, exposure to paints, glazes, clay, and mixed media, and participation in group activities. These risks may include cuts, burns, slips, falls, or other injuries.

You voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with participation.

Release of Liability (Ohio Law)

To the fullest extent permitted under Ohio law, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless McHarper Manor, The Curious Kiln, and their respective owners, employees, instructors, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct.

This release applies to claims for personal injury, property damage, or other loss arising from participation.

​

Medical Authorization

You certify that you or your child is physically able to participate. You agree to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, behavioral concerns, or special needs that may affect participation.

​

In the event of illness or injury, you authorize Studio staff to:

• Provide basic first aid

• Contact emergency medical services if deemed necessary

• Contact you or the emergency contact listed during registration

You understand that you are financially responsible for any medical treatment provided.

Behavior Expectations

You understand that Studio programs operate in a small-group setting and require participants to follow safety rules, instructor directions, and respectful behavior guidelines.

​

You acknowledge that:

• Repeated disruptive behavior may result in early dismissal.

• Verbal or physical aggression toward staff or other participants may result in immediate dismissal.

• Camp or class fees are non-refundable in cases of dismissal due to behavior.

Personal Property

​

The Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought to camps or events.

 

Photo & Media Release

By registering, you grant permission for McHarper Manor and The Curious Kiln to photograph or record yourself and/or your minor child during participation.

​

You understand that photographs or video may be used for:

• Studio marketing and promotional materials

• Website and social media content

• Printed materials

​

No identifying personal information will be shared without additional consent.

You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials or the manner in which they are used.

​

If you do not consent to photo or video use, you must notify the Studio in writing at hello@mcharpermanor.com prior to the scheduled event.

Acknowledgment & Agreement

By completing registration and/or checking the acknowledgment box at checkout, you confirm that:

• You have read and understand these Terms of Service

• You agree to all policies outlined above

• You voluntarily consent to participation
