Join us for a night of laughter and learning as Amber, owner and baker behind Bunker Hill Bakery, teaches you all about the art of sourdough bread!

Amber has over 7 years of experience in sourdough breadmaking and is passionate about making sourdough as simple as possible. Even as a busy mom of 4, she has found a way to provide a preservative-free, more nutritious, and less expensive bread option for her family.

In this class, you will learn how to care for a sourdough starter, make a traditional artisan loaf, and learn shaping techniques. Each guest will leave with the knowledge needed to carry on this timeless skill, recipes, an established starter, and a loaf of bread that you will get to bake at home in the next day (or 2).

This class is B.Y.O.B-  bring your own bowl (a small to medium-sized mixing bowl is just fine- plastic, metal, wood - whatever you have!) to transport your beautiful loaf home to bake! If you forget your bowl, we will have a few available for purchase that evening.

Skills learned:

*Measuring ingredients

*How to maintain a sourdough starter

*Ways to use up extra sourdough discard

*How to assemble a loaf of bread

*The art of developing structure in your loaf

*What is fermentation and how to tell when a loaf is finished fermenting
