Favorite Holiday Art Gifts - Drawing

This week I'm back with more of my favorite art supplies for gift giving. This week I'm sharing some fun supplies that are perfect gifts for kids who really love to draw. Your kiddos can level up their drawing game with some of these more advanced supplies. These supplies are a step up from the basic supplies we've used in our McHarper Manor and Made with McHarper projects, which makes them great for gift giving. There are a lot of options on here, and most are middle of the road or more bang for your buck, as that's what I typically go for myself. I hope these fun supplies will inspire your gift giving for your creative kiddos! You can find these and more at my favorites list in our Amazon store here.

Caliart Alcohol Brush Markers – This set of markers offers great quality for the price. These are step up from regular markers, but more affordable than high end markers, perfect for young artists.

Ohuhu 40-color Alcohol Markers, Dual Tips Permanent Art Markers for Kids - This is another good set, too.

Art books make great gifts. These books have different art prompts to encourage kiddos to create often. I have some other fun arts books on the favorites list, too.

Magicdo Cube Erasers with Grip, Different Shapes Vinyl Eraser for Drawing, Sketch, Writing - Your artist can use these uniquely shaped erasers to create different shapes in their drawings.

Sketchbooks we like - I don't think you can have too many sketchbooks! Here are a couple of quality books that would work great.

These drawing papers are a fun to try with different techniques. This sulfite paper has a finer, smoother finish than regular white paper.

This gray toned paper is light gray background which offers a different background to experiment with when drawing.

Here are some of my favorite pencil sets and accessories. Prismacolor pencils offer more vivid coloring than regular pencils and are a great addition to your kiddo's drawing toolbox.

This 72-piece pencil set is perfect for a variety of drawing projects. It's a great set with lots of colors for the price.

A pencil sharpener like this is handy to quickly sharpen all your drawing pencils a nice sharp point. This is a great gift to easily help keep all those drawing pencils sharp!

A good quality black lining pen like these are a step up from Sharpies. The pigment ink is great for lasting, vivid color. These sets are quality brands that are well priced that have a range of pen tip sizes.

Oil pastels are another great addition to your kiddos drawing supplies. This kit has many colors for the price.

If you want to go a step up on oil pastels, here's a good option. You might note the Sennelier pastels below are pretty expensive for the size. Those are by far the best I've used, and for a kiddo 10+, I would say they're a great splurge item. I use them in the Cezanne inspired bowl of fruit this month's Made with McHarper projects if you want to see the quality versus the student grade pastels Asher and Aubree are using beside me in part one of the video.

I hope this has given you some fun ideas to give your kiddos! It's always fun to get new art supplies, especially those that are unique or "special." I'll be back next week with a few more ideas. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with any questions.

Wishing you joy and creativity,

Tabitha
