Appliqué Basics with Donna
Sundays, June 7 & 14 | 4–6 PM
Ready to add a little personality to your textiles? Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to appliqué—a decorative sewing technique where fabric shapes are stitched onto a base piece to create texture, dimension, and design. It’s also having a major moment right now, with high-end designers and brands like Free People and Altar’d State bringing this look front and center in their collections!
Over two sessions, you’ll learn the basics of designing, cutting, and stitching appliqué to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Choose your path:
- Bring a garment from home (denim jackets, tote bags, and sweatshirts are all fair game), or
- Create a custom pillow cover using fabrics from Donna’s collection
Have specific cotton fabrics you love? Bring them along and make it yours.
Skill Level:
Beginner-friendly! This class is perfect for anyone who can operate a sewing machine!
What to Bring:
- Your sewing machine (preferred, so you can learn on your own!)
- Optional: Garment or cotton fabrics for your design
No machine? No problem—we’ve got you covered with one to use during class.
Ages & Attendance:
- Adults and teens welcome
- Children 12 and under must have a participating adult assisting them (no additional charge for the helper)
- Each project requires a registered seat

No "Drop in" rate; pricing is for full session only.
**Minimum 4 registered seats must be booked to hold this session, max students on machines per session: 8.

We reserve the right to cancel events and classes due to low enrollment, staff sickness, extreme weather, or other conditions beyond our control. Registrants will be notified via email 24 hours prior to class if an event is cancelled for low registration, and every attempt will be made to contact participants as soon as possible in the event of emergency cancellation.
